Rosanna Ely Workshop

Location: BOA Academy, Birmingham (B4 7QD)

Times:

Age 7-9yrs : 10:00am-12:00pm

Age 10-13yrs: 12:30pm-2:30pm

Age 13-21yrs: 2:45pm-4:45pm

Limited Spaces: first come, first served for each age group.

Age Range: 7yrs – 21yrs

Open to all: Current MTB members, non-MTB members, vocational and non-vocational ballet students are all welcome.

Please note: this workshop is not affiliated with BOA Academy or Birmingham Royal Ballet.

During this workshop, students will take part in a technical ballet class followed by a repertoire class, which will then be followed by a Q&A session at the end (2hrs total).

Rosanna Ely’s Biography:

Rosanna joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2014, after graduating from Elmhurst Ballet School. Here she has danced both nationally and internationally in many productions including Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

Rosanna was promoted to first artist at the end of the 2022/23 season after performing roles such as Polish princess and Cygnets in Swan Lake (Wright), Dawn solo in Coppelia (Wright), alongside Kitri’s friend in Carlos Acosta’s production of Don Quixote.

Rosanna started working for MTB in 2021, and has enjoyed working with the students on multiple productions, sharing insights of a professional career and watching the students flourish.
