After graduation, Georgina joined Northern Ballet where she quickly rose through the company to perform her first principal role at the age of twenty one. She went on to become one of the company’s leading dancers, taking on many principal roles including Odila (Swan Lake), the Sugar Plum Fairy (Nutcracker), Constance (The Three Musketeers), Lucy (Dracula), Cathy (Wuthering Heights), Lucie (A Tale of two Cities) and many more. She also worked closely with company director and choreographer David Nixon to create the roles of Ophelia in Hamlet and Aurora in A Sleeping Beauty Tale. Georgina retired from Northern Ballet in 2012 in order to pursue a career in teaching. She initially returned to the Royal Ballet School to complete the Professional Dancers Teachers Course and from there she went on to teach on both of Northern Ballet’s Graduate Training and Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) courses, while also teaching at the English National Ballet School. Georgina is currently Principal Lecturer at Performers College in Birmingham.
