Age 13-21yrs: 10:15am – 12:00pm
Age 10-13yrs: 12:15pm – 2:00pm
Age 7-9yrs: 2:15pm – 4:00pm
Limited Spaces: first come, first served for each age group.
Age Range: 7yrs – 21yrs
Open to all: Current MTB members, non-MTB members, vocational and non-vocational ballet students are all welcome.
During this masterclass, students will take part in a technical ballet class followed by a repertoire class, which will then be followed by a Q&A session and photo opportunity at the end (1hr 45 mins in total).
Shevelle Dynott’s Biography:
Shevelle Dynott is a distinguished ballet artist known for his captivating performances with the English National Ballet from 2005 to 2020. Following his training at the Royal Ballet School, he went on to perform with English National Ballet in a wide range of roles, including the Moor in Fokine’s Petrushka, Don Rothbart in Swan Lake, and the Mouse King in The Nutcracker. He was also part of the creative process for Akram Khan’s critically acclaimed Giselle. Dedicated to inspiring the next generation, Shevelle has worked extensively in dance outreach, collaborating with the English National Ballet’s youth company, the Royal Ballet’s Chance to Dance initiative, and teaching classes for The Lion King in London.
Beyond the stage, Shevelle has made his mark in film, fashion, and television, working with renowned photographers such as Dave La Chapelle and Rankin, appearing in music videos, commercials, and recently in Netflix’s Bridgerton. His influence and achievements extends worldwide with teaching and workshops, including a choreographed production of Romeo and Juliet at the Seychelles National Theatre in 2023. In recognition of his contributions and to honour his achievements, Shevelle’s legacy has been recognised by the National Portrait Gallery in London and through accolades such as the BCA Future Leader Award, being made a Patron of All England Dance in 2022, and recently being honoured with the Freedom of the City of London in 2024 for his services to the arts.
