SUMMER 3-DAY HOLIDAY SCHOOL
Dates: 5th-7th August 2024 (3 days)
Times: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Venue: Elmhurst Ballet School (B5 7UH)
Fees: £165
Limited Spaces: first come, first served for each age group.
Age Range: 7yrs – 21yrs (groups will be divided based on age and experience)
Open to all: Current MTB members, non-MTB members, vocational and non-vocational ballet students are all welcome!
We look forward to you joining us for our Summer 3-Day Intensive! Classes will begin at 9:30am and will finish at 4:30pm, with breaks to rest throughout the day (early drop-off and late pick-up available – see below).
Our 3-day intensive will provide students with the opportunity to work with our faculty of experienced teachers. Students will focus on ballet and contemporary technique as well having the opportunity to develop their performance and application of their skills during repertoire classes, where they will learn corps de ballet repertoire and solos from multiple ballets. There will be a small showcase for parents/guardians at the end of the course!
Our doors will be open from 8:30am until 5:30pm for students who may require an early drop-off and late pick-up – no additional fees are required. Staff supervision, fun and games will all be provided during the out of class hours!
Please note, this course is non-residential and accommodation/food is not provided. Students will be required to bring a packed lunch each day.

Xolisweh Ana Richards
Ballet TeacherXolisweh's Bio
Born in Birmingham, England, Xolisweh began her journey as a dancer, honing her skills and passion for ballet at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School. Her dedication led her to embark on a career in the world of dance.
In September 2019, Xolisweh reached a significant milestone in her career by joining the renowned Scottish Ballet.
Before her time with the Scottish Ballet, Xolisweh had the privilege of dancing with esteemed companies such as the English National Ballet, Theatrul De Ballet Sibiu and Ballet Cymru.
Miles Gilliver
Ballet TeacherMiles' Bio
I trained at Elmhurst Ballet School with Errol Pickford under Desmond Kelly graduating in 2012 to Singapore Dance Theatre before moving on to Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2013 where I am still currently dancing.
I have danced a wide verity of repertoire including works choreographed by Ashton, Macmillan, Bintley, Wright, Cranko, Tharp, Acosta.
My most recent career highlight was dancing Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote act 3 pas de deux at Tokyo New National Theatre gala. Other highlights include roles like, Espada, Baron Von Rothvart, Drosselmeyer, Lead Call to Arms, Lead Combat, Monotones II, Upper Room Classical Men, Cavaliers, Consorts, Matador.
Yvette Knight
Ballet TeacherYvette's Bio
Yvette’s training began at The Royal Ballet School (White Lodge and Upper School) before joining Birmingham Royal Ballet as an Artist in 2007. In 2012 Yvette was promoted to first artist and in 2015 she became soloist before being promoted to First Soloist in 2018.
Yvette has toured with Birmingham Royal Ballet nationally and internationally. Some of her repertoire includes the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Belle in Beauty and The Beast and Big Swans in Swan Lake.
Yvette’s interests expand beyond performing and as well sharing her expertise through teaching, she also works with the wonderful Freefall Dance Company at Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Nicole Nevitt
Contemporary TeacherNicole's Bio
Nicole Nevitt is an independent performer/ dancer and martial arts practitioner from the UK, working in live performance, film, television and theatre.
During 2016-17, Nicole joined the National Youth Dance Company under the artistic directorship of Damien Jalet, later going on to train at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance during 2017-2020.
In 2020-21, Nicole joined Scottish Dance Theatre as an apprentice dancer under the directorship of Joan Clevillè. Since 2021, Nicole has worked with an extensive selection of artists, companies and brands, collectively evolving her physical and intellectual curiosities as a mover.
A fraction of her collaborations include Ben Duke/ Lost Dog Dance, Corey Baker Dance, Roberta Jean, Stephanie McMann, Adidas and Nike.
Nicole continues to share her movement language and knowledge nationally through teaching and looks forward to the Midlands Theatre Ballets August intensive.
