THE COURSE AND AUDITIONS
The course is run on Sundays over three terms, commencing in June 2022 and culminating with the production week at The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham. We run our classes, rehearsals and auditions in beautiful, fully equipped studios at Elmhurst Ballet School. Please note, this course is in no way affiliated with Elmhurst Ballet School.
On The Audition Day
Candidates will register in the reception area of Elmhurst Ballet School. As a safety precaution due to the pandemic, we ask that all parents leave the site once children have safely entered the audition. After the audition, students will be brought to the reception area for collection.
Audition Times
To be confirmed.
What To Wear
For the audition, we recommend that dancers arrive with their ballet uniform underneath their clothes, with their hair and personal presentation in place as parents are not permitted to enter with the students.
Audition Répertoire
As part of the audition process, candidates will perform a piece from Sleeping Beauty, which they will learn during the rehearsal.
Notification of Placement
Students will be informed on or before 1st March 2022 if they have been awarded a place at finals or if they are unsuccessful.
Results of the finals will be issued on or before 1st May 2022 along with an acceptance pack for the course. Some children may be placed on the waiting list in case places become available.
Fees
Fees are £300.00 per term (3 terms in total), payable at the beginning of the course or via monthly direct debit. This includes 1 hour weekly classes and 1.5 hour weekly rehearsals.
Fees cover all classes, theatre and costume costs. Students will be required to supply their own shoes, tights/socks and weekly MTB practice clothes.
